NCIS actor Gabriel Olds accused of raping women after using Hollywood status to lure them in

Gabriel Olds has been arrested on suspicion of rape after several women came forward with allegations.

The 52-year-old actor, who appeared in The Eyes of Tammy and NCIS: Los Angeles, was charged with seven felony counts of sexual assault on July 19. The alleged crimes are said to have happened in the period between 2013 to 2023.

Olds was taken into custody by investigators near the area of Norway Lane and Norman Place on August 7, according to a press release from the Los Angeles Police Department. Olds has been accused of using his Ivy League status and Hollywood stardom to lure the alleged victims into a vulnerable position.

“Each victim reported that Olds lured them into a false sense of security during their initial encounters, then turned violent without seeking their consent,” the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement.

A 41-year-old woman reported Olds to the police on January 19, 2023. She alleged he raped her at her home in Los Angeles. “Two additional adult victims later came forward and made similar reports dating back to 2013, describing consensual dating encounters that descended into violent sexual assault,” LAPD said in their statement.

Police also said several women claimed to have met Olds on dating apps, leading them to believe there could be more victims. Cops have identified three women who were allegedly assaulted by the actor and two others who said they experienced less violent conduct.

LAPD Detective Brent Hopkins told KTLA: “We heard the same story again and again. Mr. Olds started off charming but then used brutal violence to carry out these rapes.

“Some of these survivors suffered in silence for years before finding the strength to speak up. Now that he’s off the streets, we want to make sure everyone has a chance to be heard.”

Anyone with information which could help identify additional victims or witnesses has been urged to contact LAPD’s Operations West Bureau, Special Assault Section Detective Hopkins at 213-473-0417.

Olds has more than 70 acting credits across TV and film, dating back to the late 1980s. During his career, he appeared in shows such as Criminal Minds, Medium, Heroes and The Mentalist.
