Nicole Kidman has a few fans right in her own backyard.

Speaking with The LA Times about making her 1999 film Eyes Wide Shut, the actress, 57, shared that her 16-year-old daughter Sunday recently watched scenes from the movie while attending an event with her mom.

Although Kidman notes that her daughter may still be a little young to watch the film in its entirety, the proud mom says her teenage daughter had a sweet reaction.

“At the AFI [Life Achievement Award] tribute, they saw the scene where I get stoned,” Kidman tells the outlet. “They showed that and I was like, ‘Ooooh. Golly. OK.’ I sat next to my daughter, Sunday, watching that.”

“She said, ‘Mom, that was good.’ And then they showed that scene in Birth,” Kidman continues, referencing her 2004 film. “And she said, ‘That was really good.’ And I watched that scene and thought, ‘Wow. That was really good.’ And I never do that.”

Chatting with PEOPLE in June about her new movie A Family Affair, the star said that her younger daughters are pretty supportive when it comes to getting honest feedback.

“They’re very supportive,” said Kidman. “But they’re also like, ‘OK, calm down.’ But I do think it’s important not to have sycophants [around you].”

“And it’s not also seeking out really horrible criticism… We’re all a work in progress, as they say,” added the proud mom.

Although her daughters are big fans of Kidman’s work, the actress recently revealed that there was another member of her movie that the two were excited to meet.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at A Family Affair‘s Los Angeles premiere on Thursday, June 13, Kidman shared that her daughters “really fangirl over Joey [King]. Which is nice, right? They’ve grown up with Joey.”

Kidman plays costar Joey King’s mother in the film, which shows the actress pursuing a May-December romance with Zac Efron, 36.
